- KSU Earns Grant for Project Developing Technological University Paradigm
Published Date：2013-06-05In order to encourage industry and academic talent, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has been promoting The Project of Developing Technological University Paradigm for the years 2013 to 2016. Twelve universities have been awarded grants and Kun Shan University is one of three private universities that has earned the highest grant for private universities of eighty million NT dollars.
The Ministry of Education has been encouraging universities of technology to use their unique educational characteristics in the implementation of the development of industrial research and innovation, while stressing talent development and technology transfers with related industries. This year the MOE has begun a once-every-four-year-program at a cost of five billion eight hundred and twenty eight NT dollars called The Project of Developing Technological University Paradigm. The MOE said that this project not only encourages the development of school special characteristics but also focuses on the development of professional talent, industry and academic cooperation, basic construction, and system adjustments. Additionally, a review of recent five-year teacher qualifications, curriculum and teaching, research expansion, industry and academic cooperation operations are also items included in the project. It was an honor for the entire KSU faculty and student body for KSU to have been awarded the eighty million NT dollar grant.
