The Center for Teacher Education

Background
In response to the trends of diversification in teacher education, the Center for Teacher Education in Kung Shan University of Technology was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2000 to provide our students with the program of Secondary Teacher Education. In addition, the Division began to offer the program of Kindergarten Teacher Education in 1993. Currently the Division is renamed. The new title is Center for Teacher Education in charge of the teacher preparation courses and regulation in KSU.

Goal
Our program aims to cultivate prospective teachers to become knowledgeable in educational methodology as well as the administration abilities in education institutes. We also develop our students』 professional ethics as excellent and responsible educators for our next generation.

Curriculum

1. The program of Secondary Teacher Education requires 26 credits including 14 requisites and 12 electives.
2. The program of Kindergarten Teacher Education requires 26 credits including 20 requisites and 6 electives.
3. After completing all the credits, it requires 6-month full-time teaching practicum.

2. Multi-media Equipment: Digital Camcorder, Digital Camera, Document Camera, Portable LCD Projectors
3. Computer Equipment and Its Hardware Device: Personal Computers, Laptop Computers, Laser Printers, Scanner, Burners
