Our department , Department of Accounting, was formed in 1997. Recently, due to the rapid growth of ecommerce environment, our department repositions our status to department of Accounting Information in 2005.
The goal of our department is to educate our students to be senior professional accountants in the businesses. We hope our students should have the abilities to comprehend all the aspects of the business both in theories and practice and the abilities to design accounting information systems. At the same time, we focus not only on their training to handle the budget planning, tax saving, financial planning and investment but also on solidifying their abilities to pass the CPA and government official examinations.
Adapting to the demand of multinational business, our course planning is adjusted to emphasize in the proficiency of language and computerized skills. The educational characteristics are: to strengthen ability to process computerized accounting information and application software; to strengthen the understanding the tax laws and tax accounting practice and the ability in application of tax saving skills for the businesses.; to strengthen the professional ethics and duties, to pursue the harmony of the relationship between employers and accountants.; assist the students to complete their career plan with different program design of the courses.
Our research fields consist of Financial Accounting, Management & Cost Accounting, Auditing, Accounting Information System and Taxation. Followed by the business trend of modern technology, our researches extend to Computerized Accounting Information System and Business Resource Planning.
