College of Creative Media
Recently in Taiwan, along with the many projects proposed by United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and so on, in the media and related area of creative industry, there has been an attempt to make the abstract and imaginary concepts into a real practice, emphasizing creativity and innovation skills which help prepare Taiwan for another economic miracle with an integrated blend of aesthetic and stylistic practices in life. Besides, due to the rapid development of digital technology, the media products have a determinate impact on the media design and its production skills sought by the creative industry.
Therefore, in 2004, the College of Design has changed the title into the College of Creative Media which offers timely and unique programs that provide foundational design skills, emphasizing on 『Creative, Design, Media, and Marketing』 as core elements; integrating the professional skills such as printed, graphic and multimedia design offered by the Department of Visual Communication Design; audio-visual and computer generated media production provided by the Department of Motion Picture and Video; landscaping, environment and virtual space design offered by the Department of Spatial Design, as well as integrated marketing communication and business promotion service in the creative industry provided by the Department of Public Relations and Advertisings.
The College of Creative Media in Kunshan University is one of the few universities which aim to equip students with the concepts and practice of design, the ability to creative ideation as well as to marketing services in order to produce innovative experiences that integrate the use of various media.
