The Department of Computer and Communication
Superiority
Based on two major teaching and training programs on professional courses of 「multi-media program」 and 「computer networks program」 with the industry partnerships and certification system to link theories and practices , our students can be trained to possess the following abilities and superiority after graduation:
- Have a thorough understanding of personal and professional ethics.
- Can effectively communicate computing problems and solutions, both in an oral and written format.
- Have demonstrated the ability to apply mathematical knowledge to software/architectural practice design problems.
- Have demonstrated the excellent abilities of both academic theories and experiences of practice, innovation and integration in the fields of wireless and mobile communication, computer networks, computer application, and 4C integration.
- Have demonstrated understanding and applications of core topics including wireless communication, mobile communication, multi-media communication, digital signal processing, modulation technology, channel encode, information security, RF circuit technology, object-oriented window programming, network programming ,computer network management and maintenance, certification-related courses, etc.
- Possess the relative certificates, like SUN SCJP, LINUX RHCE certification, to demonstrate he or she to have the abilities of both academic theories and practices that will help them in successful application of good jobs after graduation.
- Are able to design, conduct, and evaluate experiments concerning software and hardware solutions in multi-media communication and computer network fields.
- Have demonstrated the ability to integrate digital concepts and software engineering principles to design and implement the multi-media communication system and computer network system for "Digital Life".
- Have demonstrated the ability to function on a multi-disciplinary team using the software and hardware engineering tools and techniques in multi-media communication and computer network fields.
- Have received a broad liberal arts education sufficient to understand the international implications and needs of multi-media communication and computer network systems.
