Characteristics of Department
Over the past years, the application and advance of polymer materials in various high-tech fields (nano science, opto-electronics, biomedical) has been extremely fast. Our Department is established to fulfill the need of the development in the high-tech industries and to meet the challenges of the 21st century. Our academic programs offer courses in the fields of nano composite materials, opto-electronics (photonics) materials, biomaterials, and high performance polymers.
Research Field
We perform not only fundamental polymer research to understand the basic of polymer materials, but also the application development to the following specific fields:
- nano composite materials;
- opto-electronics materials;
- polymeric biomaterials;
- high performance functional polymers .
Curriculum
- We offer the courses covering all fields of polymer materials with emphasis on the nano composite materials, opto-electronics materials, biomaterials, and high performance polymers.
