Teach the operation of Windows and the use of Internet and E-mail. Teach the application of Office software such as Word, Excel and Power point.
- Computer Aided Design for Fabric
Teach the principle and method of designing basic weave, the treatment method of designing variable weaves, and the design of harness-chain draft by computer. Practice the weave and color effect to design the stripe and checkered fabric sample by computer.
This course is about FrontPage software, which is to design web page. The purpose of this course is to improve the students』 skills of web page design.
- Instrumental Analysis Experiment
Assist student to learn the operation of various analytical instruments, including: GC, HPLC, GPC, UV-Vis, IR, Raman, AA, NMR, MS, TGA, DSC, DMA, XRD and electroanalytical chemistry instruments.
- Introduction to Biotechnology
Introduce the principles and applications of biotechnology, such as protein, DNA, RNA, cell, inherent, gene expression and gene recombination.
The course includes instrumental drawing, lettering, geometric constructions, multiview projection, dimensioning, and stereographic projection etc.
Introduce the process and quality control of scouring, bleaching, dyeing, printing, and finishing of various fiber and fabrics.
- Fiber Physics and Chemistry
Explain the relation between fiber and polymer. Introduce the theory of fiber microstructure for students to understand the chemical structure, the physical and chemical effect on fibers, and the effect on finishing and chemical modification of fibers.
Introduce various specialty chemicals and their applications, also teach the synthesis and formulation technology.
- High- Technology Colorants
The goal is to realize the synthesis method and characteristics of high technology colorants.
- High Performance Materials
Teach about properties, manufacturing, finishing and applications of high functional fibers, high performance fibers and innovative fiber materials.
The course is about basic process of polymer, reinforced type of fiber, forming of prepreg, model and testing of composites.
- Practice of Polymer processing
Experiments on the primary processing methods and principles of polymer, including: blending, extrusion molding, injection molding, blowing molding, and foaming.
Improve students』 English skills such as reading, writing and professional presentation.
This course is about basic concept, theory, and properties of liquid crystals, and the relationship among physical properties, microstructure, and morphology of liquid crystals.
Introduce the fabrication, characteristics, testing of mechanical properties, and analysis of polymer nanocomposites.
Introduce the fabrications and techniques of semiconductors, including the developments and characteristics of materials applied in crystal growth, epitaxy, formation of thin-film, lithography, etching, and doping.
- Photo-Electromaterials of Polymers
Introduce the structures, fabrications and characteristics of materials applied in PDP, LCD, backlight module, polarizer, electroluminescene display, and OLED.
