A total of 14 existing laboratories are located in three museum projects.
The establishment of laboratories to curriculum planning and demand, and teachers to research expertise, direction, and in line with the objectives of the overall development of schools as the main basis.
The use of the equipment according to function and nature, split the laboratory to provide teachers and students in teaching, research, and services.



Laboratory Name:Pollution prevention and control of semiconductor research
Teacher responsible:Ting-Nien Wu Professor

For high-tech semiconductor industry and the photovoltaic industry, providing advanced materials development, process industrial safety and pollution prevention and control of testing services, the semiconductor industry has the scope of the study of water and air pollution analysis and reduction, visible light photocatalyst in environmental protection and energy applications, electrochemical applied aspects of pollution prevention and control.

Major equipment:
High-performance liquid chromatography, high temperature and high pressure reactor, ultrasonic cell destruction machine, gas chromatography, gas chromatography mass spectrometer, diffusion reflectance UV-visible spectrometer, elemental analyzer.




Laboratory Name:Recycling Research
Teacher responsible:Fung-Hwa Chi Associate Professor

The laboratory focuses on the environmental resource material recycling and reuse of related technology research and development to address include: waste, waste water, process water, groundwater and soil in areas such as environmental issues. More forward-looking green technology(Such as micro-plasma, high efficiency separation of decomposition …)for development-oriented, and to enhance R & D quality, set up a complete management system and continuous planning enrichment-related research and analysis necessary equipment.

Laboratory Name:Valuable Instrument Research

The laboratory focuses on the performance of bioreactor treatment of research and related engineering applications, such as upflow anaerobic sludge bed, anaerobic bio-filter bed, anaerobic aerobic biological systems, treatment with organic matter, nitrogen, sulfate wastewater of treatment effectiveness, as well as derivation of the relevant bio-reactor dynamic model and simulation.

Laser particle size analyzer, fermenters, total organic carbon analyzer, UV-visible spectrometer, electrochemical analyzer.




Laboratory Name:Environmental Microbiology Laboratory
Teacher responsible:Chun-Wen Tsao Assistant Professor

The laboratory focuses on the application of environmental micro-organisms to address questions related to the environment, application of key research for the development of bacteria contamination and training, and pollutants in the environment of toxic changes in metabolism of biological pollutants analysis. The future direction of molecular biotechnology and mutagen research direction.
