Computer Center

To fit the national information construction and to promote the teaching, Application and researching in related computer courses, the university established this center in 1977. The major missions of the Computer Center are to provide network and information services, to develop and maintain the university』s administrative application systems, to manage and organize computer hardware and software facilities, to teach related courses and to offer consultation to all users in the campus.

The computer center is located on the basement of the library and information building. There are a Sun Micro E-10K large-scale server and some other kind of workstations and servers. Besides, we rent a Giga bps fiber optic leased line to connect to Taiwan Academic Networks Center (TANet) and 8 ADSL leased lines to connect to Chunghwa telcom』s Hinet. The three Personal computer class rooms (completed with 686 personal computer and LCD display) are open to the faculty and students 12 hours a day.

We also expanded a e-learning photograph studio and a e-learning post production studio last year to promote the curriculum digitize. No matter where and no matter when students can learning through computer network to achieve the major goal of the university-to learn easy, to learn happy.
